Reliable and economical SMART storage water heater with a capacity of 80 liters for wall mounting. Positioned as an upper price category product from the 2015 Gorenje Excellent line. Targeted at demanding users who choose quality and functional appliances from trusted European manufacturers. It has a narrow and relatively thin vertically oriented body, which fits perfectly into small spaces with limited area. Designed for household use, it can fully meet the household needs of a family of 2-3 people. The Gorenje OGBS 80 ORV9 water heater differs from more affordable models by having an Eco Smart control system that can self-learn and heat water for times when there is typically increased demand. This boiler helps organize hot water supply at temperatures up to 75°C in...apartments or small private houses. It is designed for operation under a working pressure of up to 6 bar (tested at 9 bar). It can simultaneously supply hot water to multiple points of use (for example, a shower and kitchen). The heater's construction consists of a large storage tank made of enamelled cold-rolled structural steel, two durable "dry" heating elements with a total power of 2000 W, a magnesium anode, and highly efficient polyurethane foam insulation.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Gorenje OGBS ORV9 water heater series, available in various capacities, is praised for its European manufacturing quality and robust construction. Users appreciate its efficient heating capabilities, with the ability to heat water up to 85 degrees, and its effective insulation that keeps the exterior cool and maintains temperature for extended periods. The design includes dry heating elements that allow for easy replacement without disassembling the tank. However, some users find the product bulky and note the high cost as a downside. A significant concern is the maintenance requirement after the warranty period, which involves additional expenses for cleaning and part replacements. Despite these issues, many find it a reliable choice for families, although one user reported persistent technical problems post-warranty, leading to dissatisfaction. Overall, the Gorenje OGBS ORV9 is seen as a durable and efficient water heater, albeit with some maintenance considerations.

good model, liked it

In my understanding, a water heater should be convenient, reliable and economical. Additionally, I still had to choose a model that was quite roomy 80 liters, but not wide and with a small depth. The stars and my preferences agreed on this Gorenier model. It is expensive, but the brand is well-deserved and the dimensions of the case are suitable.
This water heater was made in Slovenia, that is, in the European Union. In my opinion, this is a significant plus, because it is simply unprofitable to produce not very high-quality goods in the European Union. The tank is large, 80 liters. We have enough for a family of three with economical use. The water tank itself is made of a thick sheet of cold rolled steel, has decent rigidity and double protection against corrosion. The first rust barrier is a layer of protective enamel, but even if it cracks from time to time or a sharp temperature drop, there will still be no rust - a protective magnesium anode comes into play. The water is heated by two so-called dry heating elements. They differ from ordinary ones in that they do not come into direct contact with water, but are inserted into special steel flasks and heat the water through their wall. Maybe this is not the best solution in terms of heat transfer, but you can replace such a heater in the event of a breakdown without disassembling the tank, that is, quickly and without undesirable consequences. Water can heat up to 85 degrees, which is good, because this temperature destroys the bacteria that live in the water. The temperature is shown by a convenient LED indicator, which is visible even in the dark. In general, we really liked the water heater.
The main disadvantage is the high cost, but since this is a device for long-term work, I decided not to be stingy. Still sometimes, when heated, a quiet hiss is heard, but the sound is not loud and does not bother anyone.
great model, love it

We've been using the 50-liter model for a few months now and have formed an opinion. It heats water quickly, and a family of 3-4 people can take showers one after another without any issues—it manages to reheat during the process. It heats quietly and maintains the temperature for 7-10 hours without electricity without any problems. The outside of the boiler is completely cold, so it’s well-insulated like a thermos. The 50-liter one turned out to be quite bulky in terms of distance from the wall to the front edge. Control is with a single button, very simple, and the heating scale has pictograms drawn on it.
Quickly heats water, keeps the temperature for a long time.
A bit bulky, but we chose it ourselves :)

do not take it, look for a different model!

never take it, there's a "gorenie" stove... from the word "sorrow"... or burning))) clear and then there's one burner that knocks out the electricity in the whole house!!! makes no sense!
he's cool and was ranked 3rd (used to be in 1st-2nd place).
i've been using it for 2.5 years, the warranty was for 2 years. It worked fine for 1.5 years. After 2 years, the manufacturer recommends having it cleaned at a service center at your own expense!!!! 800 UAH (Vinnytsia). Then, of course, you have to pay on your own to keep the warranty valid! Also, you need to replace the magnesium anode... waited 1.5 months for delivery, another 500 UAH, also at your own expense. Pay the official service call fee of 150 UAH each time to the technician. And so, everything was replaced. And then, damn, it turns off by itself! And the service center doesn't know. Either the sensor costs another 350 UAH new, or the control board costs another 2.5k. So what the heck is the point of such a boiler!!!! If what the manufacturer recommends for the warranty is at your expense and not covered by the service center where it's registered for service!!! And in the end, the warranty, after all your efforts!!! seems to cover just the tank. And if you're worried about something (like I worry about it heating and turning off by itself, sometimes turning on by itself), when you need hot water, you have to unscrew the cover yourself and reset the temperature sensor... because the water is cold!

The Slovenian company Gorenje exports its products to different parts of the world. The main field of activity of the company is the production of a wide range of household appliances. One of the important items of the brand's income is formed by water heaters, in particular, a model with a "dry" two-kilowatt heating element OGBS 80 ORV9.

Flat form factor

The number 80 in the expanded name of the boiler indicates the volume of its tank. He, in turn, is sharpened into a flat-shaped body, which is painted white. Such a format for building a water heater is attractive in that the device can be easily installed in any environment, even in tight spaces. A 10-year warranty applies to the tank of the model, however, it is advisable to check this point with the seller at the stage of buying a boiler.

Functionality

Also, this model is equipped with overheating and freezing protection systems, in addition, the water heater will not turn on if there is no water.

Keep the brand!

The boiler heats the water up to 85 °C (at least brew tea in it, which, of course, is not necessary). In such a high temperature regime, the lion's share of pathogenic bacteria perishes. A fly in the ointment in a barrel of honey is a meager complete set of the model. Components for installing a water heater will need to be acquired in a separate order. However, on all other fronts, the Slovenian brand confidently holds the brand, which means that the boiler will last more than one year in a row.
