Which heater to choose: pros and cons, comparison of different typesChoosing the type of heater, comparing the strengths and weaknesses of the options offered today
Model overview based on user reviews
The Gorenje OptiHeat 2000 EWP 2 kW is a convector heater designed for efficient heating, suitable for areas up to 20 m². It features a modern dual control system with touch controls and smartphone connectivity, allowing users to set the temperature, power level, and timer conveniently. Users appreciate its stylish design and the 24-month warranty provided by the manufacturer. However, some users have reported issues with the WiFi connectivity, noting that the heater occasionally disconnects and requires a reset. Additionally, there are complaints about the heater making cracking and clicking noises during operation, which can be annoying. More concerning are reports of the heater malfunctioning after a short period of use, with some users experiencing persistent beeping and failure to turn on. While the heater offers advanced features and good heating capabilities, these reliability issues may be a significant drawback for potential buyers.
Pros
Cons
I got it for a workshop for repairing personal computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. The place is not residential, but adapted, so I had to come up with a heating system myself. I settled on electric convectors. I chose this most modern and advanced model from Gorenje because its unique remote control system allows you to turn on the heating even before you get to work. Firstly, this convector really heats well, and that's probably the most important thing! )) The total area of the workshop is about 28 square meters, for which two convectors are just enough, with some power reserve in case of particularly severe frosts. Though, I feel that due to the weak thermal insulation of the walls, we won’t have much of a reserve left (( Secondly, these convectors have the most modern dual control system. You can directly set them up using touch controls, and the temperature is monitored via the LED display. You can set the desired temperature, power level, and timer. But I enjoy using the remote control through my smartphone. You install the corresponding app (which is easy to find via the QR code), connect, and you can control the heating directly from your smartphone. The convectors look stylish and modern, and the manufacturer provides a full 24-month warranty on them. Connecting via WiFi is not the most reliable way to control. It happens that one of the convectors "disconnects," and you can only return it to the remote control system after a "reset," meaning turning it off and on again. Also, these convectors sometimes make cracking and clicking noises during operation. It's a minor annoyance, but initially, it can be irritating. |
