With a moderate power consumption of 183 W, it is capable of providing air extraction with a capacity of up to 608 m³/h, helping to quickly and effectively cope with steam and odors arising when cooking meat, vegetables and other dishes with intense emission of smoke or fat.

It is important to note that the device provides the ability to operate both in the extraction mode (air is discharged outside through an opening with a diameter of 150 mm) and in the recirculation mode (using an additional carbon cartridge of model 808996). The Gorenje WHI 649 EXGW hood uses the principle of slot suction, in which the main flows of steam and smoke enter narrow slots along the perimeter of the device. This increases the efficiency of capturing small particles and improves the overall appearance of the hood - there are no massive grilles that can collect dirt and be conspicuous. The metal grease filter remains the main barrier to grease droplets and is easily removed for cleaning (for example, in a dishwasher).
