The Graphite 59G717 milling machine is equipped with a 1300 W electric motor capable of spinning the spindle up to 28,000 rpm. The speed of rotation of the cutter can be changed (from 11000 rpm to a maximum, six fixed positions of the regulator) to achieve the required surface finish using one or another nozzle. A tool with a similar set of characteristics and properties is well suited for performing a variety of types of carpentry work: sampling grooves, cutting profiles for comb-type joints, making curly edges, making holes for hinges, etc.

The tool comes with a side stop, a protective screen, an adapter for connecting a vacuum cleaner and a device (compass) that allows you to make circular drawings. The equipment is not particularly rich, but quite standard by the standards of inexpensive hobby-class milling machines, to which the Graphite 59G717 belongs. Such a set of accessories allows those who work in a home workshop or make repairs with their own hands, to process ceiling and floor boards, restore doors and window frames, make furniture and decorate its surface. Cutters need to be purchased separately. The router comes with three collets (size 6, 8 and 12 mm) that allow you to use different types of tooling. With a 12mm collet available and a hole in the sole that allows 40mm OD cutting attachments, you will be able to work with oversized router bits (compared to most other DIY router models).

There's Something Else You Should Know

Craftsmen who use this tool, in their reviews, point out a couple of small drawbacks that you need to keep in mind when deciding to buy a Graphite router. Firstly, it has a rather high center of gravity (at least slightly higher than other devices of the same power class). Therefore, out of habit, the milling machine can be difficult to keep in the desired plane. Secondly, the collets that come with the kit are not of very high quality. They are made of soft metal, and the shanks of the nozzles are not very securely clamped into them. Instead, over time, it is better to buy high-quality collets for the router. For experienced craftsmen who are accustomed to working with routers of all types and have the right accessories for them on hand, these minor flaws will not make the weather. But for beginners, it can be inconvenient.
