How to choose an air conditionerThe main criteria to consider when choosing an air conditioner

What is the difference between a cheap air conditioner and an expensive one?Is it worth paying more when buying an air conditioner? Let's take a look at the pros and cons.
Model overview based on user reviews
The Gree GWH07PA-K3NNA5B is a reliable split-system air conditioner designed for rooms up to 21 m². It offers efficient cooling and heating with a nominal capacity of 7000 BTU and features like automode, night mode, and self-cleaning. Users appreciate its ability to distribute and mix air effectively, although some note that the indoor unit can be audible in all modes. The air conditioner is equipped with a mechanical filter that requires regular cleaning to maintain air quality. While the outdoor unit produces noise, it is generally not disruptive. The model is praised for its reasonable price and 36-month warranty, making it a good choice for those seeking a functional and affordable air conditioning solution. However, users have expressed a desire for clearer information on energy consumption in kilowatts per hour. Overall, the Gree GWH07PA-K3NNA5B is a solid option for efficient climate control in smaller spaces.
Pros
Cons
Please specify the energy consumption of this air conditioner for cooling - clearly, in Russian, the number of kilowatts per hour. i haven't tried it for heating, for cooling - 5 out of 5. i cannot calculate the energy consumption in kW/h based on the specified characteristics. |
With the vast selection of air conditioner brands available across different marketplaces, choosing a functional and reliable model at an optimal price is not so simple. That's why I took an interest in the actual manufacturers of such equipment and found that there aren't very many. Most air conditioners from various brands are made in China at several dozen factories, and the biggest owner of such factories is Gree – one out of every three air conditioners in the world is produced at their facilities(!). Their production capacity is used to manufacture climate control equipment for well-known brands like Panasonic, Daikin, Sanyo, Whirlpool, Aristone, and others. This model from Gree is a fairly simple split system, suitable for air conditioning in my one-room apartment. Blows and cools excellently. The breeze from it is powerful; it's better not to stay nearby for too long. In "heating" mode, it gives off a lot of warmth. It distributes and mixes cold or warm air throughout the room well. I liked the special night mode program where the air conditioner runs on a set program and does so quite quietly. It filters air quite well, as dust collects quickly on the mechanical filter, so it needs cleaning at least once every two weeks. Protected against mold and mildew formation. Reasonable price and a 36-month warranty. The indoor unit is clearly audible in all modes, including night mode, so it can hardly be called silent. At high fan speeds, the noise isn't very pleasant and has mechanical overtones, but if you lower the speed, you only hear the sound of the air coming out. My air conditioner is installed by the front door, and at night the sound of the working air conditioner doesn't reach the room. However, I wouldn't recommend hanging it directly in the bedroom. The outdoor unit also makes noise, but outside, its noise doesn't bother anyone. |
