Compact submersible pump for narrow pit
The small Grundfos Unilift KP 150-A-1 drainage pump does an excellent job of pumping contaminated liquid, provided that it does not contain fibrous inclusions and the particle size does not exceed 10 mm. Therefore, it can pump water from a reservoir (pond, lake or river), a rainfall tank or a well. This pump is also often used to drain basements or other flooded areas. In private households, it can be useful for forced pumping of liquid from biological wastewater treatment plants. The very compact dimensions (149x214 mm) make this unit perfect for installation in narrow pits and wells closed with small diameter covers.
All stainless steel
Grundfos drainage pumps have a long service life. Their reliability is due to a well-thought-out design and the use of high-quality materials. At Grundfos Unilift KP 150-A-1, for example, all parts that come into contact with water (body, impeller, drive shaft, etc.) are made of good AISI 304 stainless steel. Therefore, despite constant contact with dirty water, they not afraid of corrosion. The device cools itself with pumped water during operation. The cooling efficiency is so good that the built-in thermal protection almost never trips. Therefore, the pump can work for a long time without stopping, without being in danger of overheating the motor.
Not cheap but worth it
This pump, with a capacity of 8.1 m³ / h, is the smallest in its “family”. He has more powerful "brothers": 10.5 m³ / h and 14 m³ / h. But all of them, including the model in question, are quite expensive. Therefore, not everyone can afford to buy Grundfos to drain the basement or pump out the septic tank.
