The sound is soft, warm and unobtrusive, copes well with jazz, plays classics superbly, oddly enough, I recommend them as desktop speakers

The tops are slightly embellished but this will go away after warming up

The German company HECO focuses on sound quality in the production of speaker systems, so Ascada 2.0 computer speakers are good for watching movies and listening to music. However they are not cheap — $ 800, let's see for what advantages.

Perfect appearance

The body of the system has a slightly beveled shape and is made of MDF with a piano lacquer finish. Each speaker weighs 5.5 kg with dimensions of 184x280x284 mm. The design impresses with its careful execution of details, perfect glossy finish in black or white. Thin fabric grills are made to match the body, but without them the system looks much more spectacular.

Sound for connoisseurs

The two -way speakers are equipped with a 25 mm aluminium tweeter, a 125 mm mid/bass driver with a long fibre cellulose diaphragm, a digital amplifier and a DSP processor. Together, this provides an accentuated and large-scale sound in the frequency range of 32 – 40,000 Hz with a total power of 70 watts. A slight "sweetness" of the highs is noticeable, coupled with a tactful "pumped up" bass — however, in general, everything is very harmonious and cheerful.

The frequency and volume knobs are located on the side of the active speaker case, but functions can also be controlled from the remote control.

Extensive Connectivity

Ascada 2.0 has mini-Jack (3.5 mm), RCA, optical and coaxial inputs, as well as a USB-A connector for charging devices. Truly a huge selection to suit every need. You can transfer sound files not only by wire, but also via Bluetooth, and support for the aptX codec guarantees lossless sound quality. If there is not enough bass, you can connect a subwoofer to the speakers through the Sub out provided for this.
