Introduced in the summer of 2020, the dome camera of the HiWatch brand (a sub-brand of Hikvision) belongs to the advanced level network solutions, as it offers advanced video analytics capabilities. So, in addition to motion detection, the device is capable of recognizing people's faces, detecting sounds, objects left or taken out, detecting crowds, parking violations, intrusions into the area, etc.

In addition, the Hikvision HiWatch DS-I259M camera supports setting the area of interest to reduce the bitrate, and the video archive can be recorded on a memory card up to 128 GB installed in the card reader or a NAS server. The model is capable of recording video with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and a frame rate of up to 25 fps, while viewing angles are 114.5 degrees (optics with a fixed focus of 2.8 mm). It is also equipped with infrared illumination with a range of up to 10 m. It is recommended to use the model for building indoor video surveillance systems, and the presence of a vandal-resistant case (IK8 standard) should make it more difficult for intruders to disable the device.
