The well-known Taiwanese manufacturer HOBOT offers a functional device for automatic window cleaning. The robot is designed to work in residential buildings, offices and commercial premises and is capable of cleaning almost any smooth surface in a horizontal or vertical position: windows, glass tables, showers, tiles, mirrors, etc. The entire process occurs automatically. The nozzles spray water or a special detergent, and a soft microfiber cloth, which is attached to the body, cleans dirt, dust and stains.

One cycle consists of two zigzag passes over the entire window - horizontally and vertically, so the device does not leave behind any missed areas. It takes about 2.5 minutes to clean one square meter of surface. A microfiber cloth does not scratch glass and prevents streaks. HOBOT 298 can be connected to a smartphone or tablet and controlled remotely via a mobile application. In addition, the package includes a remote control.

The manufacturer paid special attention to safety issues so that the washer could work at high heights and on the outside of windows of multi-story buildings. A powerful motor ensures reliable fixation on the surface. Laser sensors determine the boundaries of the surface being cleaned and prevent the robot from slipping. The safety rope can withstand a load of up to 150 kg and will hold the device if it falls. And in the event of a power outage, the device switches from mains power to the built-in battery. It is not designed to work autonomously, but to hold the robot on a surface for 20 minutes, protecting it from falling. That is, during a power outage, the user still needs to remove the equipment from the window as quickly as possible.
