The Hotpoint-Ariston AURES SF 5.5 COM instantaneous water heater (another name is AURES SLIM FLOW) is an affordable solution from a well-known manufacturer that solves the problem of hot water in the kitchen or bathroom. Ariston is rightly proud of the Italian design of this device, which looks very aesthetic. Inside its elegant body is a heating system with two tubular copper heating elements. One of them has a power of 2200 W, and the second - 3300 W (the total power of the water heater is 5500 W). The device is controlled by two knobs on the front panel. One of them regulates the water pressure and serves as a thermostat (when turning to the left, the pressure increases, and the water temperature decreases, when turning to the right, vice versa). The second regulator turns on the heating elements: the first, the second or both at the same time (the LEDs on the panel show which heating element is on). If water does not pass through the water heater or the jet is too weak (a flow of at least 2 l / min is required), then the heating elements do not turn on (this serves as protection against overheating). By switching on both heating elements at the same time and turning the thermostat knob to the maximum position to the right, you can reach the maximum water temperature for this appliance - 55 °C.
Installation of a powerful instantaneous heater
The water heater is attached to the wall with four screws (the kit includes the necessary mounting hardware). It must be installed exclusively in a vertical position with the nozzles downwards. The device easily connects to a standard 1/2" threaded water pipe. A tee with a tap and a shower head, which are included with the water heater, is attached to the second branch pipe. However, a power cable is not supplied with the kit. Due to the power of 5500 W, a separate electrical cable (with a cross section of at least 4 mm2) is required from the switchboard to the installation site of the instantaneous heater. The line must be grounded and protected by a 25 A circuit breaker.
