When there is no centralized hot water supply

Wall-mounted gas "flow" Hotpoint-Ariston FAST R ONM 10 is designed to organize uninterrupted hot water supply to residential premises in the absence of a centralized DHW supply. The model, measuring 55x32.5x21 cm and weighing 8.9 kg, has a rectangular shape, traditional for this class of water heaters, and fits perfectly into the gap between kitchen cabinets or in the free space of the wall. Please note that the body of the device can reach temperatures of up to 85 °C, so close proximity to furniture panels without proper thermal insulation or the required gaps is undesirable. The steel case of the device is painted with white enamel, and a grey plate of the mechanical control panel is installed at the bottom of the front wall. The device operates only on main natural gas (flow rate up to 2.1 m3/h), providing pressurized supply of hot water (up to 10 L/min). The device is mounted vertically and connected to a system of natural removal of combustion products with a diameter of 110 mm.

Less pressure — hotter water

The heart of the device is a copper heat exchanger with a heating power of 20 kW, through which cold water passes through the tubes. The heating power and the outlet water temperature have the intensity of gas combustion by the burner (10 nozzles) and are adjusted by a mechanical rotary regulator. And the amount of water flow is set by the rotary handle of the flow. At the same time, the stronger the water pressure, the lower its temperature will be, since the increased volume does not have time to quickly warm up in the flow mode. Therefore, in order to obtain a comfortable temperature, it is recommended not to set the maximum value of the water flow. Unfortunately, this model lacks a display to control the heating temperature. For electronic ignition of a gas burner, this model uses alkaline batteries LR20 in the amount of 2 pcs.

Switching on at low water and gas pressure

The water heater is distinguished by a design adapted to east european operating conditions with low threshold values for the inlet pressure of gas and water at which it is able to operate: the minimum values are 0.15 bar (water) and 1 mbar (gas). The maximum gas pressure at the inlet of 8 mbar does not go beyond the standard values, but the peak value of the water pressure of 10 bar distinguishes this model from classmates. The device received a security system, including only thermal protection against overheating and a thrust sensor. After an emergency automatic shutdown, the water heater can be restarted after 10 minutes, which are necessary to cool the device or ventilate the room. This model is manufactured at the company's Chinese factory and comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
