HP is a top-tier brand. Although over the past 10 years it has gradually moved from the ranks of the leaders toward the mid-range segment, products sold under this brand still offer a decent level of quality. I think that’s important for most buyers, especially when it comes to a relatively expensive, long-term purchase like a monitor. It looks unusual and very attractive. Not only does it use the already familiar thin-bezel screen design, but the screen itself is also extremely thin. There is noticeable bulk only in the lower section, created by the built-in audio system. The screen is great. This is mainly thanks to the high-quality IPS matrix. Thanks to its characteristics, colors are displayed vividly and brightly, there is plenty of brightness and contrast, and you can enjoy the monitor even from a sharp angle. The screen is large—just the size I like. The pixels are fairly large, but this cannot be considered a drawback; it is simply a feature. It works fine for me. The backlight is uniform, and there are no dead pixels. An HDMI cable for digital connection is included, which is not common. Usually, manufacturers cheap out and include only the most basic analog cable. The power and signal cables simply hang down along the left side. Couldn't they have thought this through and organized them properly somehow? The speakers sound like a 3+ on a five-point scale; they can handle audio for simple videos, but for watching a movie with quality sound or listening to music, I prefer headphones. The monitor's warranty is only one year. Well, if it had been some Acer, but I expected more from HP. |
