Store shelves of household appliances are filled with piles of devices from unknown Chinese manufacturers. Frankly, buying such a thing, even at a very good price, is just dangerous for the wallet. I’ve been burned twice already with a PIPO tablet and a Doogee smartphone. They worked, yes, but using them without losing nerve cells was impossible. That's why when I bought a car and needed a dash cam, I went and bought a model from a time-tested brand. Yes, it's more expensive than the Chinese one, but it certainly does exactly what it's supposed to do according to its specifications and does it well. Compact and very easy-to-use dashcam. The lens captures a fairly wide angle (about 140 degrees), which means it includes not only what's directly ahead but also a significant part of the roadside. It is equipped with a full-fledged two-megapixel sensor, enabling it to record Full HD video with a resolution of 1920x1080 at 30 frames per second. I would rate the video quality at 7 out of 10. The detail could be better; seemingly, the compression algorithms blur fine details. It can be activated by motion detection in the frame and also features a shock and overload sensor that prevents deletion and overwriting of video segments corresponding to these events. It can record for about 20-30 minutes without being powered from the vehicle. The built-in 450 mAh battery allows this. I bought a 10th class Silicon Power microSDHC card with 32 Gb for it. But the device, the rascal, refused to work with it. The problem was with the dash cam itself because the card later worked successfully in a camera and in my wife's smartphone. I solved the problem by purchasing another 10th class card, but this time from SanDisc. |
