I bought a Hyundai HHY7000FE generator in early December 2013. I connected it to the house, and everything was fine for two weeks - it started and powered the entire house (worked for a total of 1.5 hours). But two weeks after the purchase date, it stopped starting. I took it to the KT-service center in Kyiv, where it was repaired for two weeks. Finally, I picked it up, double-checked it - everything started up, took it home. A week later, the power went out, and I got a surprise. It started without any problems, but the generator didn't output any voltage. I called the KT-service center, explained the situation (trying to be courteous), and it turns out this "service center" doesn't check/test the generator after repairs. They fix one thing, break another - unbelievable. I'll have to take the generator back to the service center again. The conclusion is that the service for Hyundai generators (specifically the KT-service company) in Kyiv is unreliable. And judging by the generator's issues right after purchase, the generator itself isn't reliable either. I now regret the money wasted. Price - The Hyundai generator service center in Kyiv is represented by a company named KT-Service - for no reason (as can be understood from the above). - The quality of the generator leaves much to be desired (it doesn't even reach the level of a Korean product) - as there were problems with the generator's performance immediately after purchase (as can be understood from the above). A synchronous generator is capable of delivering current up to 30A peak. After conversion, the output is up to 24A of industrial frequency current. The electrical power is 5000 W, which is completely enough to power my house. Even air conditioning can work without problems, not to mention refrigerators, freezers, TVs and other trifles. But still, you should not get carried away and turn on the iron (2 kW) + electric kettle (2.3 kW), along with other consumers, means running into a protective shutdown of the generator. And it works and works reliably. The AVR-regulator keeps the voltage stable regardless of the load, it was measured specially. There are almost no strong power surges, and those that are are minimal and safe for modern household appliances. The Automatic Transfer Switch has not yet been connected, but it will have to be done, because it is a very convenient thing. Works stably on relatively inexpensive AI-92 gasoline. There is a normal domestic service and a one-year warranty. Selling a generator with a gasoline engine that is not filled with at least a minimum amount of oil is elementary redneck. I did not know about it, and then I had to go specifically for him. The loud sound of a running generator is unpleasant. In summer, high-quality double-glazed windows and air conditioning save. Consumes about two liters per hour, which, in my opinion, is a bit much. |
