Air or liquid cooling — which is better?Which type of cooling to choose depending on the purpose of the PC

Which CPU cooler to choose?Nuances of choosing a CPU cooler that guarantee safety, durability and quiet operation of the PC
The price was the first thing that caught my attention. It's a cooler styled after high-end super coolers like Phanteks, Noctua, be quiet, but it doesn't quite reach their level. The design is classic for such towers, with 7 heat pipes that have good soldering and pressing. The base isn't mirror-polished, but the impression on the processor is very even, no complaints there. It covers 2 RAM slots, but there's enough clearance to install tall modules. The default fans are generally okay, though they don't quite match the top-tier ones. In one review, they installed two Noctua A15s on this cooler, which allowed a 2-3 degree drop under load. I plan to do the same over time and replace the fans. It weighs about 1kg, causing the board to bend slightly, but that's a standard issue for such towers. By the way, the top plate is removable, so you can install fans of any size. There's thermal paste included, but I can't comment on it since I used Noctua NT-H2. Installed on an i7-8700k, currently not overclocked. The idle temperature is 32 degrees, and it warmed up to a maximum of 89 degrees under load in benchmarks. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the cooler; its performance is close to the top but the price is much more affordable. High-level performance Excellent sole polishing Price Standard fans are not the most efficient. |
