Technological printing: simple and tasteful

Despite the rather primitive appearance, the Inno3D D1 3D printer received decent control electronics, enclosed in a high-quality steel case.

The strength of the design is not in doubt, but the absence of a casing will require the user to carefully select a place for the printer so that distortions and delaminations do not occur.

The model is printed on a Hot Plate made of aluminium. To exclude deformation and tight connection of the layers, the surface of the table is heated. The working plate functions accurately and quite correctly, however, due to strong mechanical stress, jerks may occur in work, which leads to a distortion of the shape of the model. To avoid unnecessary vibrations, the connecting mechanisms and bearings must be periodically lubricated, and when printing, do not set exorbitant speeds.

Management of the built-in microcontroller is exercised by means of the touch screen. The display shows all the information necessary for the user: printing time, printing progress, temperature of the table and extruder.

You can start printing a 3D model immediately after calibration by transferring data directly from a computer or via an SD card (the model has a card reader). If you are specifying printing using a computer, it must be connected to the network at all times while the printer is running.

Software

The Inno3D D1 3D printer supports the .stl, .gcode model format, the dimensions of which do not exceed 150x140x140 mm. If you are an advanced user and the native software limits your needs, you can use the Slic3r package, which greatly expands your creative horizons.

Printing is carried out by a single extruder with a nozzle diameter of 0.4 mm. Inno3D D1 uses FDM/FFF printing technology using only PLA filament.

A 3D printer is suitable for both inexperienced users and those who are going to design specialized models.

Given the design feature of the model, you should not purchase the presented printer for children. It is preferable to opt for the XYZprinting da Vinci miniMaker 3D printer.
