I work at one of the major national technical universities, and since my official salary hasn't been satisfying for quite some time, my colleagues and I set up a small "basement" production of water treatment systems, based on our proprietary method. On average, we sell 10-15 units over six months, which provides a substantial income, making it not embarrassing to return home from work. We mostly work in the evenings, but when several orders come in at once, time becomes critically short. To speed up the assembly process, which in our case takes a lot of time, I bought this budget drill. Inexpensive and quite suitable for periodic work power tools. Fasteners twists perfectly, it can also drill, but when drilling hard materials, the low speed of rotation of the cartridge interferes a little here. There is a mandatory reverse for such instruments. The battery is not bad, it's a pity that there is only one in the kit. As for this type of battery, it charges relatively quickly, in three hours. I know that there is a tool with a faster nickel-cadmium charge (about 60-90 minutes), but at such a charge rate, the batteries do not last long. The maximum diameter that a self-locking chuck can accept is 10 millimeters. Not much, but we don't need more to work with. There is no indicator showing the battery level, you have to judge it by the sound and force of the screwdriver under load. At the same time, only one battery is included, which cannot be charged at random. Nickel-cadmium batteries do not like incomplete discharge or undercharging. Therefore, you have to carefully monitor the charge level and put it on charge on time. There is only one speed - 550 rpm, and for drilling it would be nice to have at least twice as much. |
