Model overview based on user reviews
The Intertool Storm WT-0516 is a versatile rotary engraver that offers excellent value for its price, making it a popular choice for those seeking a cost-effective alternative to more expensive models like the Dremel 4000. It features a powerful 170 W motor with an adjustable rotation speed ranging from 8,000 to 35,000 rpm, allowing it to handle a variety of materials from soft wood to granite. The tool comes with a comprehensive set of 40 nozzles, including cutters, drills, and grinding stones, all neatly organized in a durable plastic case. Users appreciate its convenient flexible shaft and telescopic stand, although some note the lack of rubber pads near the head, which can cause hand fatigue during extended use. Despite minor issues with collet fitting and stone alignment, the tool is praised for its robust build and reliable performance, making it a valuable addition to any workshop.
Pros

Cons

Inexpensive tool, fulfills its price
26 December 2016
I have my own small workshop for the repair of household and not only appliances. And I bought this multifunctional tool as a replacement for the old one, which at one time I got in a good, but second-hand condition. I chose it for performance, a good brand and equipment. The last point is probably the most significant.
It is very convenient to use and it is not at all surprising, because it is a copy of the famous Dremel 4000 tool. A convenient removable handle allows you to work on the spot without any problems. Rotation speed is adjustable from 8 to 30 thousand revolutions per minute. There is a button-lock shaft in the front. It is possible to quickly replace the brushes. Powerful, I would even say that it is too powerful and you need to hold it tight. Strong reliable case with metal latches. It is equipped with a really very convenient flexible shaft and a telescopic stand. For a minute, a shaft of this quality separately costs about $ 18-20. There are a lot of consumables in the kit: cutters of different diameters, many different stones, diamond and felt nozzles, a small brush, a bunch of cutting wheels and other trifles. The kit also includes three additional collets of different sizes and three drills.
Solid plastic near the head, meaning there are no rubber pads in the very spot where you usually hold it with your hand. This is not very convenient, and the hand gets tired during long work sessions. The collets were not very well fitted, had to "adjust with a file." Some stones sit crooked on the shaft and cause vibrations.
good model, I liked it

Convenient, not very expensive tool. There are a lot of attachments, even a lot, the set is good, especially in comparison with similar models. There is a separate box with a variety of consumables in the store, if you buy all this separately it will cost you a lot of money, as well as drills and materials, everything is there. There is an additional handle for easy holding. So I use it quite often for all small work. It's lightweight and fits comfortably in your hand. The machine is very powerful, enough for any job.
There are no particular disadvantages.

Add Review

The east european manufacturer Intertool is gradually gaining a place under the sun of the Ukrainian market of industrial power tools, offering competitive products at affordable prices. Buying an engraver of the STORM WT-0516 series will cost only $35, but it allows you to solve most of the tasks of fine processing of materials.

Features

The 170-watt motor develops a spindle speed in the range of 8000 – 35,000 rpm. Smooth adjustment of the speed in this range makes it possible to process both soft wood and ceramic, granite surfaces. For hard-to-reach places, a flexible shaft is included in the kit.

A set of nozzles includes 40 units, including cutters, drills, grindstones, cutting wheels, grinding and felt nozzles, neatly folded into the cells of a separate plastic case. All of them are designed for a collet diameter of 3.2 mm and are changed using the supplied wrench.

Rich equipment

The tool is not recommended for continuous use. After 15 minutes of operation, let the machine rest. For more confident operation, the device is equipped with an additional detachable handle and a three-position telescopic tripod with a hook for hanging. Considering the rich set, the set comes in a convenient plastic case.

To be the best

As a result, we note that outwardly Intertool STORM WT-0516 is actually a copy of the more eminent Dremel 4000 engraver. At the same time, the east european tool is much cheaper.
