JBL Horizon is a multifaceted device that was introduced to the public in 2015. It combines 6 important functions at once: a clock, an alarm clock, a radio player, a portable wireless speaker, a charger for gadgets and a night light. With all the obligations placed on it, the device handles perfectly.

round case

The column is made of soft soft-touch plastic in the form of an incomplete circle. Such a surface is very pleasant to the touch, but it is more difficult to remove dust from it. In the centre of the front of the case is a screen that displays the time and date. The symbols are large enough, and their illumination level is automatically adjusted depending on the intensity of ambient light. The display is completely framed by a decorative metal mesh, behind which two speakers with a diameter of 45 mm with a total power of 10 watts are hidden.

Alarm

Built-in acoustics produce clear sound with deep bass and crisp highs. Its power is enough to cover a small room or bedroom, for which the gadget is intended in the first place — the bedside table is the perfect place to install the JBL Horizon. From it, it is easiest to reach the alarm off button, of which there are already two in the device. The alarm ringtone can be one of three preset songs, a preset FM radio station, or music from a wirelessly connected smartphone. In order not to oversleep for sure, the device is additionally equipped with a large flat battery, designed purely to set off the alarm clock in the event of a power outage.

Backlight

And on board the speaker you can find two USB connectors designed to charge mobile gadgets. Also, the device feels great as a night light — its back side is effectively illuminated with white LEDs. The only thing missing is the illumination of the control keys, which is why at night they will have to be pressed from memory.
