Many summer residents direct drains into barrels in order to collect "gratuitous" liquid and subsequently use settled and warm rainwater for watering plants. It is for such tasks that the Karcher BP 1 Barrel is designed — a special "barrel" drainage pump for clean water. It is compact (135x170x520 mm) and therefore fits in almost any tank: even in a standard plastic barrel with a volume of 227 liters, even in a garden bucket. The clamping clip allows you to securely fix the device on the side of any tank, and the flexible hose can be easily adjusted to the height of the tank.

A 400 W motor, rotating the impeller, creates a pressure of up to 1.1 bar — enough to spray water with a spray gun or make drip irrigation. The hoses are connected to the pump using universal quick-clamp connectors.

The pump can operate in two modes: automatic (power is turned off by a float switch) or manual. With the help of a shut-off valve, you can temporarily shut off the water supply without turning off the engine. So that the debris that occurs in barrels with rainwater does not jam the impeller, a built-in filter is installed at the pump inlet to pre-clean the liquid from particles larger than 1 mm. The pump does not require any maintenance (other than filter cleaning) and causes almost no problems when using the pump for simple garden watering tasks. Formally (according to the passport) Karcher BP 1 Barrel is able to withstand diving to a depth of up to 7 metres. But due to the design features, it is inconvenient to lower this pump into wells, and it is better to limit yourself to barrels. For wells and wells, it is better to buy Karcher BP 2 Cistern, and for water intake from clean reservoirs and pools, the Karcher SP 6 Flat Inox model.
