Minisink Karcher K 5 Premium Power Control is powered by a 2100-watt electric motor and pump, which provide a pressure of up to 145 bar and a water flow rate of up to 500 l / h. Karcher claims that these rates allow you to clean up to 40 square meters of surface per hour of work, which is more than enough for domestic needs, even if you have a large plot or several cars in the garage. The device can be connected to a pressurized water supply or pump, and a 1/2" hose is required to supply water to the sink (you can also use a 3/4" hose with the adapter supplied). In addition, the mini washer can be used to pump water from tanks and containers, such as barrels or pools, as well as from reservoirs, thanks to the built-in filter, which purifies water from impurities, such as in a pond or lake.
Maximum possibilities
Two interchangeable nozzles are attached to the minisink. One of them is a standard fan nozzle. The second nozzle is a "mud mill" (according to the manufacturer's advertisement, it is 100% more powerful than the fan at the same water pressure, due to the rotary movement of the jet).
While using the fan nozzle, you can easily change the water pressure from a mild 20 bar to an aggressive 145 bar. This can be done by turning the tip in different directions. The gun has a display that shows the current water pressure. Information on the screen is shown in the form of conditional values.
The HARD label on the mini washer indicates high pressure, which is suitable for washing stone, concrete, garden tools and other surfaces that require intensive cleaning. The MEDIUM inscription corresponds to medium pressure, suitable for washing cars, brick walls, plastic garden furniture and other surfaces that do not require too much pressure. The SOFT mode is designed for working with wood or cleaning soft stones such as sandstone. There is also a MIX mode, which is used to spray water with detergent at low operating pressure.
In the body of the minisink there is a special nest for a container with chemicals. However, please note that only Karcher car shampoo jars with lids that comply with the Plug 'n' Clean standard developed by the company can be inserted into this socket. The gun is connected to a 10m high pressure hose for freedom of movement. To make it convenient to wind and unwind such a long hose, the device is equipped with a drum. The minisink also has an aluminium telescopic handle and a wheeled chassis, which make it easy to move the device weighing almost 14 kg. However, we did not like the price of this mini washer and the fact that the foam gun is not included in the kit (but it can be bought separately as an accessory).
