I bought it to replace my Soviet one which lasted more than 10 years. Initially, a polyethylene gear got worn out, so I machined it from bronze. But the meat grinder's blades started cutting poorly, and replacing them with new ones didn’t help. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase the Kenwood MG-515. I liked the appearance and the complete set, i.e., everything seemed fine at first glance. But when I turned it on for the first time, I was disappointed. The noise level is half the problem, similar to a vacuum cleaner, something you can tolerate for half an hour. But the issue is that the meat doesn't come out as strands; it gets squished and comes out as if from gaps – that's a drawback. I constantly have to cut it with a knife – and by the way, a lot of metal fragments come out, probably small bits of the grid and blade. And this is on the largest grid! So it works like my old one! Why did I spend so much money – almost 6 thousand? Overall, I expected more. The manual claims it grinds 2 kg per minute – that's just an advertisement. Grinding 2 kg takes about 10 minutes, mainly because the motor runs fast. I've used it twice so far. If my opinion on this model changes, I’ll write an update. Beautiful, fast engine, reverse 1.Noisy like a vacuum cleaner. 2. Presses the meat, not cuts it! |
It makes more noise than the Soviet electric meat grinder made in 1991, which I wanted to replace with a modern one and regretted it. Hygienic body, metal, monolithic, without joints or gaps - microcollectors. Noise > 90 dB!!! By the end of grinding 2 kg of meat, my ears became uncomfortable! The knife is bad, it doesn’t cut, so the meat is pressed through the grill. use Kenwood Pro 1600 MG 515 week i recommend it don't buy |
