Mercedes-Benz Arocs is not capable of driving on its own, but it can automatically move the crane boom, open the bucket and raise the body to dump bulk cargo. An external remote control is not provided — all mechanisms are controlled by levers on the body.

Thanks to this, the truck famously overcomes road roughness and other obstacles.
