Singapore-based Little Doctor has made a bet on consumer medical equipment. And she did not lose — the brand's automatic blood pressure monitors are considered one of the most advanced in the class.

Clear structuring

Almost the entire plane of the front panel of the LD-51U tonometer is covered with a monochrome screen. The largest symbols on it display the readings of blood pressure measurements (in the range of 40-260 mm Hg), the smaller numbers show the heart rate (40-160 bpm). In addition, the screen displays the current date and time. A clock and a calendar are necessary for the device to structure the measured indicators — the tonometer memory stores 2 blocks of 90 cells for different users.

Colour interpretation

All work Little Doctor LD-51U performs automatically. The user only has to fasten a universal cuff with a coverage of 22-42 cm on the upper arm and press the bright orange button, which gives the command to start the blood pressure measurement process. The results are classified on a colour scale in accordance with WHO recommendations : the pressure in the green zone is considered normal, in the yellow — slightly increased, in the red — high. Also, the tonometer is able to detect violations of the heart rhythm.

Intelligent Algorithms

In fact, the model relies on the Fuzzy Algorithm data processing algorithm, which takes into account the individual characteristics of the heartbeat and automatically manages the entire blood pressure measurement process. If necessary, the tonometer calculates the average pressure from the last three measured values. The device is powered from a conventional household outlet using the supplied adapter or from four "finger-type" batteries.
