a good model, I liked it
17 August 2014
i bought it from an online store, so it was not possible to check the operation of the UPS. It also turns out that you can get a non-working device because there is no 100% guarantee. Before that, I bought a Logicpower PSW-500, so everything is fine with it.
The electricity supply here is such that, sometimes, you can't turn on anything at all because the voltage is as low as 20 volts or as high as 300 volts. So, I decided to purchase the PSW-800 UPS + LP-120MGL Battery set. Here are my conclusions.
Pros: 1. Attractive price
2. Pure sine wave output
3. The ability to connect an external high-capacity battery, allowing you to keep a computer or other equipment on during power outages (with appropriate load – up to 500 watts) for several hours (not just minutes).
4. Presence of a fan
5. LCD display
6. Two Euro sockets
7. Very quiet switching of the stabilizer during sudden voltage fluctuations.
Cons: 1. very noisy fan (can't hear the TV when the fan is on).
2. presence of defects:
a) the charger did not switch to maintenance mode after the battery was fully charged and the battery began to overheat;
b) the maintenance mode did not work when the Logicpower was off;
c) the fan turned on very rarely and only for 10-15 seconds, which was clearly insufficient as the case became very hot, especially at the bottom.
As a result, I had to send it for warranty repair the very next day after purchase.
And now it's been three weeks, and I still haven't received the Logicpower PSW-800 back from warranty repair. And when I will receive it is unknown. These are the "joys" I got from purchasing this UPS.
just bought Logicpower PSW-800
good model, I liked it.
30 January 2016
There has been some kind of horror in the city with energy supply since the 90s and during this time absolutely nothing has changed, and if you look closely, in some places it has even become worse. An uninterruptible power supply for the home is like a faucet in the kitchen, there is no way without it. I decided to take a more expensive model, because in any case, you will have to pay more for the repair of burned-out equipment. After all, the miser, as you know, pays twice.
It can not only ensure the operation of equipment after a power outage but also performs the function of voltage stabilization. The battery is not included in the package, so I had to buy it separately. They, by the way, are not cheap either, so the entire system cost a significant amount. However, I consider the purchase justified - it's much more reassuring this way. The UPS works well, switching to the battery (in case of a complete power outage) occurs instantly, and the equipment continues to operate in normal mode, without noticing this moment. Stabilization also works correctly - output is a constant standard of 220 Volts. Battery charging is fast, and the stored charge is consumed quite economically.
It seems to me that the electronics of this UPS does not work quite correctly. The cooling fan turns on extremely rarely, after which it will work for several seconds (up to a minute) and turn off again. I don't know if that's the way it should be, but it still worries me a little. I hope overheating (if it occurs) will not affect the service life.
