In contrast to large and bulky telescopes, Meade has released a light and compact model for space observations EclipseView 82.

line of sight

The design of the mini-telescope is based on an optical tube with a diameter of 82 mm and a focal length of 300 mm. It is unlikely that you will be able to observe distant galaxies through a telescope, but within the same solar system, it provides quite good visibility of astronomical objects. Also, the model is suitable for contemplating the sun — a special filter based on a film for safe observations in white light is included in the standard package of its delivery.

Dobson's mount

The telescope is mounted on a compact and easy-to-use Dobson bench mount. It provides easy aiming at objects in the night sky, does not require assembly and fine tuning. All manipulations with the mount are done manually, whether the telescope is on a table, on a chair or on the floor. The telescope platform rotates 360° around its axis, and its optical tube can be tilted up and down.

Compact above all else

The model comes with a pair of 9mm and 26mm eyepieces, a 2x Barlow lens, the aforementioned solar filter, and a red dot finder. And most importantly, it does not need to be prepared for observations for a long and tedious time — setting the telescope into working position takes less than a minute. In addition, the device takes up a minimum of space during storage and transportation.
