Premium tool
The 1900 W motor allows the Metabo MFE 40 wall chaser to cut relatively deep grooves (up to 40 mm when using standard 125 mm diamond wheels). That is, this tool is equally suitable for electricians and specialists in laying communications for heating and air conditioning systems. But it is worth remembering that even with such a powerful engine, it is not recommended to cut reinforced concrete immediately to the full depth (it is better to make two passes of 20 – 25 mm each).
Nothing to complain about
The tool is “sharpened” for heavy loads and intensive use. It has a special gearbox that provides high torque. The electronic control system maintains a constant spindle speed under load at around 4200 rpm — this is the optimal mode that extends the life of the diamond blades and the tool itself. The starting current limiter and the mechanical safety clutch are responsible for reliability and safety. Advanced anti-dust protection provides a long service life of the wall chaser.
The design of the spindle and die-cast aluminium housing allows the installation of up to three cutting discs (the three-blade configuration should only be used for solid grooving in relatively soft materials). The groove width is adjusted using adjusting washers, and the degree of penetration is conveniently and precisely adjusted by a lever with a special scale.
Professional wall chaser for universal use
Metabo wall chasers are designed for professional use. Their purchase is advisable for craftsmen who are constantly faced with the need to form strobes of strictly specified width and depth in reinforced concrete and brickwork or building blocks. And on the repair of one or two apartments, this tool is unlikely to have time to recoup its cost, so for domestic use it is worth choosing a simpler and cheaper wall chaser.
