The second generation of versatile hybrid laptops Microsoft Surface Book. They are 13.5-inch touchscreen laptops equipped with an improved unique Fulcrum segment hinge and a detachable screen unit. Compared with the first generation of devices, the mechanical part of the laptop has been improved, a new hardware platform has been used, and a USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 interface port has been added.
The high-quality IPS screen has a resolution of 3000x2000, good colour reproduction and excellent viewing angles. All Microsoft Surface Book 2 13.5 inch laptops are equipped with 8th Gen Intel Core i7 quad-core processors, capable of running at up to 4.2 GHz (individual cores) for superior single and multi-threaded performance. The amount of RAM standard LPDDR3-1866 can vary from 8 to 16 GB.
When running in tablet mode, the processor's built-in Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics core provides only a basic level of 3D performance. However, when docked with a keyboard unit, a discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti or GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 2 or 6 GB of high-speed GDDR5 graphics memory is activated. These solutions are full-fledged gaming cards, and the GeForce GTX 1060 allows you to use high gaming graphics settings in most popular gaming projects in 2015-2018. For data storage, there is an M.2 PCIe SSD drive with a capacity of up to 1 TB, network communications are supported using the built-in Intel Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac adapter. The body weight of the devices does not exceed 1.53 kg, and the thickness is 23 mm.
