Model overview based on user reviews
The Midea MCFD 42900 BL MINI dishwasher is praised for its stylish and compact design, making it an attractive addition to any kitchen. It efficiently cleans dishes, even handling very greasy items with ease, and operates with low water consumption and minimal noise. However, its small capacity is a notable drawback, as it can only accommodate a few plates and cups, making it less practical for larger households or those needing to wash pots and pans. Users appreciate its portability and the convenience of not requiring a direct water connection, which is ideal for those frequently changing residences. Despite its benefits, some users have experienced reliability issues, with one reporting a breakdown after two months. Overall, it is a great solution for small spaces or temporary living situations, but potential buyers should consider its limitations in capacity and durability.

great model, love it

We often change rental apartments, and we can’t buy a normal dishwasher, so we bought this mini version. It does not have to be connected to water - water can be poured through the hole in the top, and the drain hose can simply be lowered into the washbasin. I won’t say that it’s very roomy, but plates, mugs, forks, spoons fit completely in one meal. Even a half-hour program is enough to wash everything, but then the dishes are damp and you need to dry them. When turned on, the backlight is pleasant, after a while it goes out, you can activate it by pressing any button. A very convenient solution for us.
easy to carry, no need to connect water supply and drainage

I recommend it to everyone who doesn’t have the option to connect water and drainage, even though these options are available.

Tip: if you cover small dishes on top with a pan or pot, it’s better to remove the container with forks and spoons, as the water jets are blocked by the pot and the cutlery may not get cleaned since the jets don’t reach them, and the upper jets are sometimes not enough. You can place them below, in the same removable container.
I am very satisfied with the machine; I wash it twice a day. It fits 5-6 plates, glasses, and bowls. If large plates or pans don't fit by height, I place them at an angle against the back wall or cover smaller dishes, like bowls, with them. Pots also fit, and I even managed to clean the grate from a round exhaust fan excellently by placing it across and supporting it from below with a metal cup to prevent the grate from pressing against the door.
It's inconvenient to pour water from the top if it's placed under a cabinet. But this is easily resolved by buying a watering can with a long spout and voila.

Cleans dishes very well, but only fits a couple of plates and cups

Of course, I have no special complaints about this miracle of technology. The dishwasher looks as progressive and ultra stylish as possible. The beautiful blue color and compact dimensions certainly pleased me. And it washes dishes efficiently, even very greasy ones, until they shine. And it seems convenient to wash fruits and vegetables both hot and cold. And it doesn't use much water. And it makes virtually no noise. That's just how I understood its meaning. This miracle was given to me. It frankly fits a couple of cups and plates, that’s all. Neither the pot nor the frying pan will fit. So it costs a lot and it really puzzles me. The dishwasher is certainly wonderful, but absolutely useless.
Beautiful, stylish, compact. Cleans dishes efficiently. Water consumption is not high. Doesn't make noise.
Price. It fits a couple of cups and plates, that's all. The dishwasher is certainly wonderful, but absolutely useless.

Compact and mobile

First of all, the Midea dishwasher stands out from the background of other desktop solutions in appearance. It is smaller than them (it has the shape of a cube with dimensions of 44x42x44 cm) and is offered in three bright colours (in addition to golden, there is an orange and blue version). But in general, the newfangled model should not get lost in the retro interior, because visually it slightly resembles a small TV with a ray tube, which was a frequent guest in kitchens 20-30 years ago.

An important feature of Midea MCFD 42900 G MINI is the ability to use without connecting to the water supply. You can fill in water manually: the corresponding hole is located on the top of the body. This feature is useful if it is technically difficult to bring water to the device. Plus, the model becomes more mobile: it is easy to take it to the country house or operate it with frequent changes in rented housing.

original programs

The dishwasher offers 6 programs. Moreover, in addition to quite standard (economical, fast, delicate and hourly), specialized modes are also implemented. These include the Baby Care cycle and Fruits. The first is designed for steam sterilization of baby bottles and dishes, and the second is for washing purchased fruits and berries. By the way, two variations are available for the last cycle: with rinsing with cold and warm water.

Also noteworthy is the presence of a delayed start and effective blow-drying, partly due to which the energy consumption of the device corresponds to the base rating A.

Practical helper

The visibility of the sink is provided by a transparent door and illumination of the working chamber. And for the convenience of control, a set of buttons is supplemented with a small display, which shows the time report and various service information.

The main disadvantage is the very small capacity — only 2 sets of dishes, which is why even a small family cannot avoid 2-3 washing cycles per day. In addition, the dishwasher works noticeably louder than its counterparts: the noise level is up to 58 dB. If this is not critical for you, then Midea MCFD 42900 G MINI is an excellent solution for the most cramped conditions and/or mobile use.
