Great kettle for a great price

An inexpensive but interesting Chinese electric kettle Midea SH15power508 from a well-known manufacturer of air conditioners provides the user with wide functionality at the price of a conventional model. The device has a black plastic cone-shaped body, which practically does not heat up even when the kettle boils, which indicates its good thermal insulation. The hinged lid easily opens the wide mouth with a simple push of a button in the handle. The double-walled flask holds 1.5 liters of water, and its filling can only be controlled by marks on the inner surface. The vessel is made of non-magnetic food grade 304 stainless steel, featuring acid resistance and heat resistance.

Two modifications for Europe and Asia

The disc heating element coated with stainless steel has a small power of 1.5 kW, but heats the water quickly enough: it takes about 5 minutes to boil. The process is surprisingly quiet, but working with the touch control panel is accompanied by a squeak of sound signals that cannot be turned off in any way. The large and contrasting digital display shows the actual temperature in real time (thermometer). The device allows you to set 4 modes of operation of the thermostat, the temperature scale of which is different in the Asian and European modifications of the device. For the Chinese market, you can adjust the heating to temperatures of 40, 55, 85 and 100 °C, and in Europe the kettle comes with a setting scale of 40, 80, 90 and 100 °C. The difference in temperature regimes is explained by the difference in the culture of tea drinking, as well as the fact that coffee is not very favored in Asia (90 °C). The kettle is also able to maintain the temperature of heated water for a short time.
