How to Choose Kids' BikeWe explore the main criteria for choosing kids' bikes: type, wheel diameter, and other factors.
Model overview based on user reviews
The Milly Mally GTX balance bike is designed for children aged 2 to 4 years and is crafted from natural wood, offering an eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing appearance. While the wooden frame provides a nice tactile feel, it also contributes to the bike's weight, making it heavier than expected, which might be challenging for smaller children. The bike is well-constructed in Poland, with smooth-turning handlebars and wheels that glide effortlessly. However, some users noted issues such as a flat, uncomfortable seat, and a heavier weight than advertised. Additionally, there were concerns about the steering column play, which required a bearing installation, and screws loosening, which needed threadlocker. Despite its attractive design and good glide, some users expressed regret over the purchase due to these drawbacks.
Pros

Cons

Interesting, but in my opinion, a bit heavy balance bike for toddlers from 2 years old.

By the children racing on balance bikes in the yard, it was clear that the toy was very interesting. We decided to give our son such a gift as well. We bought this balance bike at the beginning of the summer.
Looks great from the outside. When my son saw the gift, we couldn't tear him away from it for an hour and a half. The frame of this balance bike is made of natural wood, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage of this model. The wood is eco-friendly and natural, that's a plus. But the weight of such a frame turned out to be more than if it were made of corresponding steel tubing. Yes, this is a case where metal would be lighter than wood simply because much less metal is needed. But wood feels nicer to the touch, no doubt about it. My son rides it with great pleasure, the handlebars turn easily, and the wheels on bearings spin without much effort. It took approximately four to five days of numerous daily sessions to learn to maintain balance. This balance bike is made in Poland, so it's hard to find fault with the quality of workmanship. It is well assembled, with no noticeable play and gaps between the structural elements.
Not the most comfortable seat, in my opinion. It's too flat and lacks even minimal ergonomic design. The balance bike's weight turned out to be more than 4.5 kg, not 3 kg as stated in the website description. This is not so light, which might be an issue for a skinny and not very strong child. We handle this weight quite well, but I still think the model is too heavy.
I regret the purchase.

I do not recommend taking it!
appearance, good glide.
Heavy, play in the steering column (installed a bearing), the child was bumping into a fuel tank imitation!!! (had to cut it off), screws were loosening (used threadlocker).
