Two cables for connecting to a PC or smartphone

As a company created by players for players, the Taiwanese giant MSI is also engaged in the release of gamepads. The GC30 gamepad, which was released in the Force series in 2019, enjoys the greatest success in the company's assortment. One of its charms lies in its multiplatform nature - it is easily picked up by PCs, Android mobile devices, and some versions of the PlayStation console. PS3 is officially supported, PS4 is supported with crutches. To do this, it is equipped with two cables (two-metre USB and a short 30-cm OTG for smartphones) and a wireless Bluetooth adapter that operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz.

Xbox Controller style design

At the end of the Force GC30 there are 2 analogue sticks, a D-pad with arrows, four front buttons with an Xbox-style designation, four side triggers and several navigation keys in the centre. In general, the MSI Force GC30 completely copies the schematics of the Xbox controller with diagonal sticks and perpendicular triggers. For people accustomed to the Sony DualShock circuitry, this can be a problem, but we still recommend overpowering yourself - the Microsoft gamepad circuitry is even more convenient in some ways and you get used to it in a matter of minutes.

Durable Key Switches

Considering that the MSI Force GC30 costs a little less than the original Xbox controller, MSI decided to attract buyers with attention to quality. For example, analogue triggers recognize up to 256 degrees of pressure, pushbutton switches are claimed to have a life of 2 million clicks (against a million from competitors), and the package includes interchangeable cross pads with magnetic fasteners. As for the overall level of performance, it's hard to find fault with something - the triggers are smooth, the material is tactilely pleasant, the body fits comfortably in the hand. No one saw much difference in quality compared to DualShock or Xbox Controller. However the network complains about the deterioration in the performance of the left stick, but we did not test the MSI Force GC30 long enough to confirm or deny this information.
