Lawn mower or trimmer: which is better to choose? The different types of garden tools for grass mowing are described below
Model overview based on user reviews
The NAC BE140-SW-S trimmer is an electric model with a cutting width of 42 cm for line and 25.5 cm for the blade, featuring a straight shaft and a bicycle handle. Users appreciate its asymmetrical ergonomic design and the option to switch between a knife and line, as well as the reinforced guard mount. However, concerns were raised about the thin metal on the handles and the budget spool. One user experienced a breakdown due to the thin material of the tubes, leading to a crack where the cable enters the handle. Despite these issues, the trimmer is described as relatively light, quiet, and comfortable, especially with a non-native shoulder harness. While it offers good performance, its long-term reliability remains to be seen.
Pros
Cons
Relatively light, quiet, comfortable (with non-native unloading). I don't think you should expect to work with a line thicker than 1.6 mm. As for reliability - time will tell. The main criteria for choosing this model were: the network, the asymmetrical ergonomic bicycle handle, the straight shaft, variability (knife/line), and the reinforced option for the guard mount. The latter is quite rare to find. I got it to replace the similar Hyundai GC1400, which served for three seasons and broke precisely because of an unreliable rivet fastener for attaching the guard to the shaft (I wrote a review on it). The metal on the handles is a bit thin. Budget spool (though that's common for all), a weak and uncomfortable strap, which I immediately replaced with a proper shoulder harness from an AL-KO gas trimmer. The connection of the shaft parts on the Hyundai GC1400 was sturdier. just bought NAC BE140-SW-S |
Such a breakdown could have led to an insulation failure with all the resulting consequences. I replaced it by installing the right handle with a button from an old Hyundai. Disposable junk. Supplement to the first review... The anticipated benefits were mentioned in the first review. It worked without breakdowns for a season. However, it broke where I expected. The material of the tubes is very thin. The metal cracked at the point where the cable enters the aluminum handle. use NAC BE140-SW-S month or more i recommend it don't buy |
