An excellent scooter for running errands or just riding on relatively smooth roads. Climbing hills or gaining speed is effortless. Going up and down ramps is also not difficult. But stairs are a nightmare. The scooter is heavy, around 12 kg plus the battery - it weighs as much as a full-sized bicycle. The scooter folds and can be pushed on one wheel. There’s a display on the handlebar, deck lighting underneath, a brake light, and an integrated kickstand beneath the deck. The front headlight shines well, but not exactly where you'd want, especially when riding over bumps in the dark. The battery charges in about 6 hours and lasts more or less through most of the day. All modes work. In sport mode, I managed to accelerate up to 28 km/h, which is very fast. The electronic brake is absolutely unreliable; it either brakes or doesn’t, sometimes hard, sometimes softly. Otherwise, I am satisfied. Effortlessly climbs hills and reaches high speeds without any strain. The scooter folds and can be pushed on one wheel. It has a display on the handlebars, under-deck lighting, a brake light, and a built-in kickstand under the deck. The front headlight shines very well. The battery charges in about 6 hours. All modes work excellently. The scooter is heavy. The front headlight does not shine exactly where you would like it to, especially when riding over potholes in the dark. Not bad for the money, but there were errors (software), which were fixed by the new firmware, but the sediment remained. Not a bad acceleration, but the new firmware limited the max. speed to 20 km/h (before it was going (ES1) 23-24 under a rider of 80 kg). Very nice design, and simply wonderful headlight (for an electric scooter), not a bad phone app. It was showing the 15th error, which fortunately was rectified programmatically, and now the main issue, because of which I'm writing this review, is that after "three hundred" kilometers of running, the steering column started to wobble horribly with a play of +- 1.2 cm, and the service centers don't know what to do. Reliable "packaging"
The model with a frilly curved aluminium frame hides all the electronics deep inside. Driving performance
The electric motor of the model is connected to the rear wheel. Its driving force accelerates the two-wheeled vehicle up to 25 km/h. The same figure is written in the parameters of the range. An obese rider (under 100 kg) will be carried by the scooter for a shorter distance. During the ride, the return from the unevenness of the roadway is minimized by the depreciation system. And when coasting or going downhill, the recovery function is activated, which allows you to return part of the energy expended to the battery tanks.
Flexible customization
To brighten up the rides on a scooter in the dark, the backlighting of the bottom, iridescent in many shades, helps. The model also has a bright LED headlight and a rear brake light. The desired backlight colour is selected in the Segway-Ninebot mobile app from the linked smartphone. Moreover, the programme allows you to set an anti-theft blocking of the scooter, limit the maximum speed of movement on it and view detailed trip statistics. Optionally, the electric scooter is subject to additional equipment with a second battery, due to which the range of its run is doubled. The factory version of this “two-wheeled horse” layout is called the Ninebot KickScooter ES4.
