Small and handy autotonometer with built-in memory
30 September 2016
I have been using an automatic blood pressure monitor for about five years now, which my son gave me as a gift. The device was Chinese through and through, and I couldn't even pronounce the name of the manufacturer, but it measured blood pressure quite well. I specifically took it with me to the clinic and checked it against a proper mechanical blood pressure monitor. But this summer, in July, the "Chinese" suddenly stopped working. It pumps air, releases it, but always shows zero. I couldn't find a technician who would at least take a look at it. I chose the new blood pressure monitor myself. Nissei is a Japanese brand, and although I suspect this model is also made in China, at least it comes with a warranty.
Very handy machine. Compared to my old automatic blood pressure monitor, I like this one much more. It is smaller in size, but its screen is noticeably larger, the numbers are more contrasting and better visible. The accuracy is good, the main thing is to sit correctly and keep the part of the shoulder on which the cuff is put on at the level of the heart. If you take several measurements in a row in a calm state, then they almost completely coincide and the discrepancies are scanty. And he also knows how to memorize the results of measurements in his own memory, and he saves not only the pressure figures, but also the time with the date when these figures were received. It is powered by conventional finger-type batteries, which need 4 pcs., Or from a separate AC adapter. Has a 60 month warranty.
The memory with measurement results and dates is erased when the AC adapter is connected. I don’t know if this is a defect or a feature, but this must be borne in mind.
