When it comes to Nitecore, heavy duty weatherproof flashlights come to mind. The manufacturer decided not to change anything in the case of the MH20. Before you is a compact, lightweight and powerful enough flashlight for its class.

The model is equipped with only 1 Cree XM-L2 U2 diode, but it is enough for any situation. The lamp shines in 8 modes. Turbo: 1000lm to illuminate 220m for 2 hours. High: 410 lm up to 100 m for almost 3 hours. Medium: 230 lm up to 50 m in just under 6 hours. Low: 50 lm to 15 m for 16 hours. Minimum: 1 lm to 3 m for 235 hours. The last digit is no mistake - the device really works on a single charge for almost 10 days. There are also 3 additional modes: strobe, SOS and beacon. By the way, there is no provision for adjusting the focus of the beam, but in beacon mode, the flashlight produces a very narrow directional beam that can be seen from several kilometers away.

Convenient, but not fast

The device is equipped with a microUSB port for charging the battery, which must be purchased separately from a power outlet or computer. This process takes about 4 hours to 80% charge, and to 100% you have to wait as much as 8 hours. The data is relevant only for a branded battery.

As a last resort - throw a lantern at the offender

Of course, it is unlikely that anyone would think of throwing a premium flashlight. But this does not negate the fact that the case is shockproof (made of anodized aluminium, which is used to build space shuttles) and can withstand drops from a 2-metre height. In addition, the lens is also resistant to mechanical damage. Yes, and the device is not afraid of water - the IPX8 protection class allows you to immerse the flashlight to a depth of more than a metre. At the same time, the body does not slip in the hand, and special protrusions do not allow it to roll even on inclined surfaces.

Overall, Nitecore engineers are true to themselves - the MH20 is a powerful and versatile flashlight. It can be used in urban environments, hunting and long extreme hikes.
