The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5 is the latest addition to the Hakkapeliitta family, a studded tyre for the toughest winter conditions. Relentless grip and good tyre performance are achieved through completely new ideas and developments. Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5 is designed for demanding users who want to drive safely in any winter weather, even the most unpredictable. The stable grip of the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5 is ensured by many technical innovations. One of them - the so-called "bear claw" - effectively improves the performance of the spike. On the front edge of the tread block, along the edge of the lamella, a sharper nail-like edge is made, which perfectly holds the stud. Thanks to the "claw" the stud remains in the perfect position while the tyre touches the roadway; when braking and cornering, the stud does not flex or swerve to the side, maximizing traction. Especially from the point of view of braking, grip in critical shoulder areas is significantly improved.
