The Nokian Nordman SZ driving tyre is the successor to the once flagship Hakka Z tyre. The model was created with an eye to difficult climatic conditions, where heavy rainfall and constant temperature changes are not uncommon in summer.

Double layer tread

For Nordman SZ tyres, two speed indices are provided: V (up to 240 km/h) and W (up to 270 km/h). Depending on the specific version, the tread pattern also differs. The design of the modification with the W index is the guarantor of maximum control accuracy at high machine speeds. It uses a two-layer tread, where the lower layer has increased rigidity, and the upper layer is made of an elastic compound with a high content of nanosilica.

On a solid "five"

In simple terms, the base layer of the tyre tread provides precise steering response and stable behavior at high speed. And the outer layer of the compound is responsible for reliable grip and weakens the impact from small bumps in the roadway. Due to the numerous drainage channels and due to their significant internal volume, the tyre also resists hydroplaning on a solid "five".

Clear indication

Erasable numbers and a droplet icon are "knocked out" on the central stiffener of the tyre, which show the approximate residual tread depth in millimetres and the tyre's resistance to hydroplaning, respectively. The only complaint about the model is the appearance of a rumble at high speeds. The bottom line is that we have stable and safe tyres for driving both in the city rhythm and on the highway.
