The distinctive feature of this model is the ABS 2 suspension system. It has a frame made of metal strips along which a module with a back panel and shoulder straps moves vertically. The construction is fixed at the required level with Velcro and additionally adjusted with straps, something not provided in other suspensions. The straps are adjustable in length and height and additionally equipped with D-rings for carabiners. There is also a chest strap with an elastic compensator. The hip belt also has structural features. In particular, there are two straps regulating the length of the belt and an internal rigid plastic frame. This design (of both the straps and the belt) allows highly precise adjustment of the backpack for the user and effectively distributes the load.

Focus on Comfort

The weight distribution system is pleasing not only with convenient straps and a belt but also stands out with the proprietary Air Mesh technology. It looks like a mesh fabric on the outside, but its usefulness is hard to overestimate. Firstly, it provides air circulation, meaning all body parts in contact with the backpack (back, shoulders, and lower back) "breathe," which is crucial during long treks. Secondly, the construction excels in heat dissipation, and the user feels comfortable even in intense heat. And thirdly, the Air Mesh surface quickly absorbs moisture, so there is no need to fear either sweating or light rain.

Compression is Everything

Another important nuance of the design is the large number of compression straps that allow you to eliminate voids inside the backpack after loading and make it more compact. These straps are present on the sides (as in most hiking backpacks) and on the front. Even when fully loaded, the volume can be significantly compressed, which is appreciated during mountain hikes. Although, it is quite possible that this capability led to the lack of space for a hydration system—a separate pocket or opening for a tube is not provided.

Rain Cover

There is another pocket with a rain cover on the bottom of the model. The presence of a dense cover allows you to protect the backpack and its contents not only from heavy rain but also from dust, sand, or dirt. Naturally, the rain cover is made to exact size and equipped with a tight rubber band around the edge, so it won’t come off even in case of a fall, let alone the wind.
