A great chair, it has served for a decade, so I had to replace the gas lift, the base, and the mechanism, but after so many years, each chair will serve this purpose. I replaced the base because I needed to change the gas lift, and I changed the gas lift because I needed to replace the rocking mechanism. The foam has sagged over time and needed replacement; luckily, I had a piece left from past projects, a bit [censored], drilled here, nailed there, and that's it, the chair feels like it's just from the factory.
I put new wheels on it and it's back in action. Although I initially considered buying a new chair, with prices like these, it's better to fix what I have than to throw money at something that probably won't even work.
In every other aspect, the chair is very comfortable; I'm not a small guy, but I feel quite good in it. I just wish the armrests were a bit more interesting, rather than just plain black plastic.
