Model overview based on user reviews
The Oleo-Mac GS 650-18 is a portable chainsaw powered by a gasoline engine, featuring a robust 63.4 cm³ engine with 4.76 hp, making it suitable for cutting trees with diameters of 26-50 cm. Users appreciate its power and reliability, noting that there were no major issues over 1.5 years of use, aside from minor parts like the fuel filter, sprockets, and tires. However, some users experienced initial idle speed adjustments and engine responsiveness issues, particularly after refueling. The saw also takes longer to start compared to other models, especially in cold weather, despite having an easy start feature. Overall, it is considered a good model with sufficient power, but potential buyers should be aware of these minor inconveniences.

good model, liked it
22 February 2015
For 1.5 years there were no special problems with the saw except for the fuel filter, sprockets and tires. I sawed trees with a diameter of 26-50 cm. There was enough power. No complaints.
I want to warn you that the first two issues might have only occurred with my saw. I ask anyone who has experience with Oleo-Mac 650 to call me at 0509595570, Alexander (you might have the same problems).
1. Upon receiving the new saw, I immediately had to adjust the idle speed. It worked for a month or a month and a half. Then (usually after the fuel in the tank runs completely dry during operation), after the next refill, the engine loses responsiveness (chokes when pressing the throttle). So up to this day, I carry an adjustment screwdriver in my pocket. With a slight hit on the L screw, the engine operation normalizes. Perhaps the preceding cause was that I initially used unleaded (alcoholic gasoline from Extra fuel stations), and then switched to regular 92 and 95, having heard that mixing these types of gasoline results in water precipitating out.
2. The saw takes a long time to start (compared to Oleo-Mac 965 HD). It's good that there is easy start. A cold saw needs to be pulled 5-10 times in summer, 10-20 times in winter. Meanwhile, the Oleo-Mac 965 HD starts on the 2nd-3rd pull, it’s already 10 years old and does not have easy start.
3. In cold weather, the starter is very slow to return.
