Made in a modern design, the watches of the Japanese company Orient are notable for their rectangular elongated stainless steel case. Its width is less than 23mm and its height is 39mm. On the black dial, golden hands and hour markers are clearly visible, and the main positions (3, 6, 9 and 12) received double risks.

For those who prefer light-coloured accessories, a sister version is offered — Orient QCBH003W.

Signature Precision

The manufacturer equipped the Orient QCBH001B with a quartz movement of its own production. This is the RH500 caliber with three hands, a permissible monthly rate error of 20 seconds and a good margin of battery life — up to 4 years from one battery.

The dial is protected from scratches by an ordinary mineral glass, the tightness of the case corresponds to the initial level (up to 3 ATM), so the watch must be removed for showering and even more so for swimming.

Two straps included

Orient QCBH001B is not just one watch, but a whole set. So, along with the model there are two leather straps at once, capable of providing a certain style variety. The main one is dark blue, and the spare one is black. Both are textured to imitate crocodile leather and have a classic buckle.

Minor shortcomings include the need to get used to reading the readings on the dial, but good markings and rather large sizes practically eliminate confusion: it will certainly be easier to determine the current time than, say, on the DKNY NY3715.

The Orient QCBH001B is a noteworthy, extended watch for everyday wear and/or business meetings.
