Model overview based on user reviews
The Panasonic AG-HMC154 is a highly regarded camcorder praised for its reliability in various weather conditions and ease of use. Users appreciate its cool viewfinder and optical stabilizer, which ensures steady shots even when filming handheld. The camcorder's design, including the lens hood, is noted for preventing issues like lens splashes during rain, a problem observed with other brands. While some users suggest minor ergonomic improvements, such as relocating the expanded focus button, these are not seen as significant drawbacks. Overall, the Panasonic AG-HMC154 is favored for its durability and performance, making it a reliable choice for both amateur and professional videographers.

I shoot with this camera, and with Sony cameras, and with many others. So I really get pleasure from this camera! I like everything about it - from the lens hood to the viewfinder, which I am simply delighted with. By the way, about the hood - I never thought that it could be so important... But I realized what it was when I was shooting in the rain with a Sony HDR-AX2000. So, drops of rain falling on the lens hood immediately splashed the lens, which did not happen on the Panas)). And all because of the design differences of the hood itself. So, to all the many disadvantages of that Sonya, I also added this one. Maybe a little off topic, but if we talk about the disadvantages of Sony, I can’t help but restrain myself and say about the two main disadvantages of Sony. 1st: the rotary screen, motherfucker, is located on top of the handle next to the shoe! And if you put a camera or a microphone receiver on this shoe, then this screen cannot be opened. You have to open it, and then attach whatever you want to the shoe. And then comes the second drawback of Sony: either the viewfinder or the same screen works. And if you consider that this viewfinder is very, very lousy, then you have to use the screen... You yourself understand that this begins to terribly infuriate you when you are filming outside and, as always happens, in the sun!! So here Panas is definitely beyond competition!! Moreover, it has a larger screen and is located closer to your eye, so you will feel quite comfortable with it even in the sun!
Great camera!! I've been shooting with it for 2.5 years now. It always works perfectly in both cold and hot weather. Very easy to use, everything is at hand, cool picture. Cool viewfinder!! Cool optical stabilizer, not digital, like many cameras. You have to shoot a lot handheld, but the picture doesn’t shake, of course experience also takes its toll, but still...
What I would do differently in it is move the expanded focus button to the record button. It would be more convenient to focus when shooting. Although both the viewfinder and the screen easily allow you to do this without additional zoom. So it’s hard to classify this as a disadvantage. )))

hi all!!!! here they write for the JVC GY-HM700, I found video tests http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpOOE3xfwAI&feature=related to be honest the impressions are not very good with a good setup and 100ka can also remove it ONCE!!! TWO, don’t equate the shoulder with the hand, you are professionals (if there are any)!!! TPY each person has his own view 1. what is a camera for?? 2. what are the requirements XP - SD - HD - fullHD?? 3. Apart from Panas, I have not yet seen really strong, hardy, moisture/frost resistant cameras!!!
