48 tweezers
The epilator is suitable for removing hair on legs, arms, underarms, and in the bikini area. It is equipped with a dual disc system, totaling 48 tweezers. Essentially, 24 tweezers do the main job, and the second disc removes the hairs missed by the first. However, according to reviews, the internal plastic components are not durable and may break down with active use, and repairs can be quite costly.
The device also features a floating head with a 60-degree tilt angle. Thanks to this design, it follows the contours of the body and captures all unwanted hairs. Additionally, there is a guard that holds the skin in place. As a result, the epilator does not pull the skin, making the procedure less painful. There are two operating speeds available: normal and delicate. The latter is not as fast but is quieter and consumes less energy.
Four attachments
The set comes with four attachments. The main attachment is intended for legs and arms. A special attachment with a smaller working surface can be fitted onto the main one for delicate epilation (in the bikini area and underarms). The shaving attachment turns the device into a trimmer, cutting hairs rather than plucking them. There is also an attachment for preparing the skin for epilation. Essentially, these are plastic teeth that can be used for massage.
Each time the device is turned on, a light on the body illuminates to help you spot fine and light hairs. The set also includes a cap to protect the epilator head from dirt and dust, and a pouch for storage or transport.
Wet and dry epilation
The Panasonic ES-ED53 is water-resistant, so in addition to dry epilation, it can be used in the bath or shower. Furthermore, pour shower gel (but not scrub or salt granules) onto the epilator head, and this will create foam. This method of epilation is less painful and causes less skin irritation. After use, rinse the device's attachments under running water.
Built-in battery
The epilator operates on a built-in battery, making it mobile and allowing for use even in the field. A single charge lasts for 30 minutes (or 40 minutes at low speed), which is sufficient for one full procedure. When the battery is nearly drained, an indicator light appears on the body.
It takes about an hour to fully charge. However, the epilator cannot be used while charging.
