How to choose a pressure washerThis article provides valuable guidance on selecting the ideal pressure washer for both garage and home use
Model overview based on user reviews
The Patriot GT-130 is a compact yet powerful household pressure washer designed for occasional use. Weighing 9 kg, it features a plastic casing and is easy to transport thanks to its wheels. The washer is equipped with an aluminum pump and a 1.7 kW electric motor, capable of generating a working pressure of up to 130 bar. It includes a fan nozzle that allows for adjustable water spray angles, making it versatile for cleaning tasks ranging from removing dirt from tires and garden tools to more delicate surfaces like wooden structures and car bodies. The washer comes with a foam gun attachment, although users may find the foam produced to be less dense than desired. Despite its effectiveness, the washer is noted to be quite noisy. Overall, the Patriot GT-130 is a good model for various household cleaning needs, especially for those with gardens or outdoor spaces.
Pros
Cons
I have been thinking about a small pressure washer for a long time. For some reason, everyone thinks that such machines are used only for washing cars. But I live in my own house, which stands on a medium-sized plot of land with a small orchard, and there is quite a lot of other work for washing in such a household. This is a small but rather powerful washer of the so-called household class, that is, it is intended for occasional use. The case is plastic, neat, heavy (9 kg), but it is easy and simple to carry it on wheels. The metal in the design is almost invisible, but this will indicate that it is not there - the most important part of any high-pressure apparatus, namely the pump, is made of aluminium. It works in tandem with a 1.7 kW electric motor and this is enough to create a working pressure of about 100 atm in the system (up to 130 atm maximum). Water with this pressure is fed into a gun equipped with a so-called fan nozzle. It regulates the angle of water spray and the wider the angle, the less pressure falls on one separate area and the more delicate the wash. And you have to be delicate, because if you make the jet as collected as possible, then it whips strongly. Dirt from tyres, rims and garden tools knocks down easily and quickly. But, for washing wooden structures and a painted car body, it is better to make a fan jet, it’s calmer)) There is also a special foam gun attachment in the kit, into which a solution of car shampoo concentrate is poured. The hose from the sink to the gun is quite long, five meters long, the electrical cable is about the same length. Noisy very much. The nozzle that provides foaming gives liquid foam and the characteristic white foam coat on the body does not work. I feel that I will have to buy a more efficient foam gun, since they are now on sale in abundance. |
