Simple tile cutter
From a tiling user's point of view, the Patriot TC 600 is a great alternative to hand-held ceramic cutters and angle grinders, which are also often used for similar tasks. Unlike manual tile cutters, the machine can cut not only materials with a smooth surface, but also embossed decorative tiles. In this case, the cut is more accurate and clean due to the absence of chips. However to get a truly clean cut, a regular circle of mediocre quality should be replaced with a good diamond blade (for example, buy Distar for cutting porcelain stoneware or Bosch for ceramics).
Only the basic set of functions
The design of the Patriot machine is nowhere simpler (and this is its charm, because simple equipment breaks less often). It consists of a frame with an engine, a working platform made of painted stainless steel and a water tank. On the tabletop, you can fix the parallel and angular stops, which are necessary for precise longitudinal and diagonal cuts of tiles. It is convenient to control the sawing accuracy by the rulers applied to the working surface of the machine. The tilting system of the working table (at any angle from zero to 45°) allows you to perform angled cutting.
Cheap and a little angry
Not happy only the almost complete lack of protection against splashes. During operation, the tile cutter actively splashes water, splashing it right in the face of the master. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly monitor the level of the remaining water in the bath and periodically add liquid there so as not to overheat the diamond disc. But you can safely close your eyes to this feature, if you remember the low price of the machine and the obvious advantages (cutting speed and accuracy) that it has compared to cutting facing tiles manually.
