Effective removal of allergens and other contaminants
The Philips climate complex is designed not only for humidification, but also for air purification. Models can remove various contaminants, bacteria, viruses and allergens on an area up to 30 m². For this, a 3-stage filtration system is provided here (excluding the actual water wash) with a preliminary, coal and HEPA fine filter.
For cleaning Philips AC2729/51 is able to work in automatic mode. The device analyzes the air quality and automatically selects the appropriate operating parameters. Moreover, three such modes are available at once: normal, delaying allergens and night (with a minimum noise level and disabled indication).
High-quality hydration
The device is able to combine cleaning with humidification. For these purposes, a rotating humidifying filter (similar to traditional evaporative disks) and a 3.5-liter removable water tank are proposed. Thanks to the built-in hygrostat, you can set the automatic maintenance of a certain level of humidity (40, 50, 60 or 70%).
Four manual fan speed settings are also available. At maximum humidification intensity, Philips AC2729/51 consumes up to 500 mL / h, and this is enough for fairly large rooms (up to 68 m²). However in this case it will be necessary to add liquid often — every 7 hours.
Clear display and smartphone control
Operation of the model is facilitated by a push-button control panel with child protection, a timer and an informative display. It shows prompts for filter cleaning/replacement, current humidity level and air quality indicators. The ability to control from a smartphone is also implemented: in the proprietary Clean Home + application, it is even more convenient to control the main operating parameters.
The shortcomings of the model include the need to replace the carbon filter and HEPA (respectively every 12 and 24 months), but this is typical for most purifiers. But the fact that a humidifying filter is also a consumable, and its working life is only 6 months, is a minus.
Anyway, Philips AC2729/51 is a great helper for those who need not only humidification, but also air purification from allergens, tobacco smoke or other pollutants.
