My wife and I opened our first small business - a cafe-bar in the largest and most visited sports club in our city. Of course, it's not just a cafe and not quite an ordinary bar. A large portion of the menu consists of natural and healthy products. Freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices, purees, low-calorie vitamin drinks, milkshakes, and smoothies are particularly in demand. For preparing all this variety, good equipment is necessary. For high volume and continuous operation, professional blenders are required, but since we are just starting out, investing in professional equipment, which is 2-3 times more expensive, was too burdensome. However, even if we do buy a pro-level model, this blender will still remain in use because it's damn good. Endurance is important for working in a bar, and we were concerned about how this blender would handle a heavy workload. According to the specifications, it can operate continuously for up to three minutes. As I understand it, this is a special protective limitation specifically for continuous operation because, in series, it can work much, much longer. In short, we couldn't overheat it. The heating of the lower motor block occurred but did not cause any problems. As for the degree of grinding, it depends on the blade and the motor power. The special six-blade knife proved to be very effective, and 900 watts of power for a maximum volume of one and a half liters is more than enough. There is a special mode for preparing smoothies, and unlike many other models, this one can crush ice. Philips promises an official warranty of 24 months. Initially, there was a distinct smell of plastic. At high speeds, it is very loud. Blenders are generally not considered quiet appliances, but the noise here is truly epic. |
Compared to our previous "Vitka" this is a real beast. It has a 900-watt motor versus a 400-watt one. Any soft vegetable or fruit that enters the jug of this machine inevitably turns into a smooth and homogeneous puree. It whips up puree soups very quickly, and it's almost impossible to find fault with the quality of work. Speed is adjusted with a rotary knob. The jug has powerful heat-resistant glass walls, heavy and reliable. The lid closes tightly, perhaps even too much. The stable and practical body is on rubber feet. It's impossible to move it on the countertop without lifting. Two-year official warranty. If it runs for more than a minute, the smell of very hot plastic appears. Not the most pleasant aroma for the kitchen. The cord is only a meter long, which in our case is almost stretched to the limit. The lid of the cup is very tight, but this is not quite a drawback, as it will surely loosen over time. |
