Bought it six months ago. I'm using it with pleasure. At first, I burned my hands and fingers even though protective gloves are included in the set, but I don't use them, they're not comfortable or convenient for me. I am a theatrical costumer, and taking care of a large quantity of clothing is one of my main professional responsibilities. Previously, irons, including those with steam, were my main assistants in this matter. But working with an iron requires a lot of attention and is always associated with the risk of damaging thin and delicate fabrics. Getting to know vertical steamers greatly facilitated my work. It cannot completely replace an iron, but its assistance is invaluable. We bought this model in the spring of this year, and since then it has been in high demand. One of the main tasks of the steamer in our challenging endeavor is to restore the normal appearance of an already ironed suit or its parts after storage. Some suits are stored for years without use, and despite regular airing, a specific odor still appears in the fabric. The steamer handles this unpleasant effect very easily and quickly. It is simple to operate, with five modes providing different steam strengths. The current mode is displayed on a contrasting liquid crystal screen (on the upper part of the main unit), where various tips also appear. The set includes four additional attachments, not all of which are useful, but, for example, the hair removal attachment is very good. It is also convenient to use this steamer to handle lace, ruffles, and other pleated delicate details. At high power, it may spit out water droplets along with the steam. This is not critical, but only if there is time to dry these dark spots, and sometimes there is simply no time for that. |
