Red Means Reliability

The Phiolent tool is considered quite reliable and durable. Moreover, the Phiolent SHV3-6-RE M screwdriver belongs to the "Master" series (recognizable by the red color of its body instead of the standard blue), which features a wider use of imported components. Therefore, one can confidently expect that under conditions typical for household and semi-professional use, the tool will last for a sufficiently long time.

Mixed Impressions

The screwdriver has a somewhat primitive design from the nineties. However, despite the unremarkable appearance and the absence of any rubber grips on the handle, it's quite comfortable to hold and allows for prolonged use without feeling fatigued. This is also helped by the device's light weight (only 1.2 kg). But the manufacturer, it seems, considered the screwdriver practically weightless because they didn't even include any hook or clip to attach the tool to a belt, so it has to be carried around constantly.

Some aspects of the screwdriver's design are impressive (for example, it has a preset rotation speed function, which is rare even in expensive models, and it works well), yet others leave a bitter taste. These include the plastic depth regulator, which wears out over time against drywall and requires replacement, and a surprisingly weak magnet in the bit holder. In other screwdrivers, the bit sits firmly and securely in the slot, but in this model, it constantly threatens to pop out of the holder and stay in the screw head. This is irritating and slows down work. And while magnetic adapters and extensions can be bought separately to correct this manufacturer oversight, dreaming of an option like a cassette attachment for the Phiolent screwdriver is out of the question — it simply doesn't exist.

Cheap Screwdriver for DIY Repair

However, the small flaws of the screwdriver can be forgiven when its cost is considered. With such a low price, it will pay for itself on a single project. And it has few competitors in the budget segment: Interskol SH-8/700ER, Zubr ZSSh-730-45, and that's all.
